Cake Tools: Sugar Ribbon Flower Cake
Many years ago I saw the famous cake designer, Betty Van Norstrand demonstrate sugar flowers that appeared to be made out of fabric. She is such an incredible teacher, many people don’t know of her because she is not self-promoting, but she is the artist who has taught Ron Ben-Israel, Buddy Valastro, Sylvia Weinstock and many others how to make incredible sugar flowers. I was so inspired by her that I made my own tiered cake using some of the techniques she showed.
